All net proceeds of the event will go directly to BC Crop for Kids.

BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids is an annual charity scrapbooking event benefitting BC Children's Hospital Foundation. Since 2008 it has become BC's most popular educational & inspirational paper crafting weekend. We offer a weekend-long crop with amazing classes designed and taught by talented designers. All of these classes are generously sponsored by local scrapbook retailers and scrapbook manufacturers. Proceeds from the sales of crop seats, class seats and any other products offered will benefit BC Children's Hospital Foundation.

2012 Date: October 5 to 7, 2012

Location: Ramada Plaza Conference Centre, Abbotsford, BC

6 More Sleeps!!

That's right people, only six more sleeps to go until registration!!

Last year our theme for Saturday night was Glam, all about the Scrap Diva in all of us. We can't wait to tell you what it will be this year! But, you'll have to wait just a little bit longer to find out.

Mary and Sandra have been working really hard to finalize the class schedule, and we plan on posting the class descriptions hopefully by the end of May. I can tell you however that they are going to be awesome.
Class Passes will be available again if your preference is to only take classes rather than crop. The great thing about attending the crop, besides having a wonderful time socializing, meeting new friends and getting to indulge in some serious scrapping "me" time is the option to finish off any of the projects that you didn't have time to complete in a class. Sometimes it can be a bit of rush to get everything done. Our fantastic teachers really want to make sure each and every class is well worth it. So sometimes the project can exceed the allotted class time, or even not be meant to be completed within the class. What better place to finish your project than while hanging out with your scrapping buddies!

Good News! We have also increased the number of seats available while making some changes to the crop room!

Only 7 more sleeps!!!

Wow has this year just taken off at lightening speed or what? Everyone that I talk with tells me the same thing.. we are all on super speedy mode and time is just flying by!

Well.... that means it's only 7 more sleeps until registration opens for this years Crop For Kids.

Did you know that last year the event sold out in about 15 minutes! I remember very clearly, sitting at Mary's dining room table with Sandra on the speaker phone as we counted out how fast the seats were going. It was epic.

This year I have no doubt it will sell out again in record time, and with good cause. It's going to be a fantastic weekend - the classes this year will be awesome. Layouts, cards, mini albums... but seriously, who doesn't love a good crop too.

How about a weekend away with your girlfriends, getting all those projects done you've been trying to get finished? Maybe some door prizes, some shopping, add in a little silent auction action - and it's a winning weekend all around! The best part though above all else is that it's an amazing fundraiser for Children's Hospital. Do it for the kids!

So remember to mark your calendar! Next Sunday (yes on Mother's Day) 9am be prepared. Later in the week I'll be posting some finger exercises to make sure those digits are in top shape to register quickly.
Through the week I'll be featuring a little bit on our sponsors and helping you get to know them a little better.

We're so excited to start our 2011 BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids season. We're planning all kinds of cool events from satellite crops to in store events at your local scrapbook store, as well as a very special event which we will soon start sharing some details. Watch for the blog to be updated often with what's going on in our local scrappy community featuring our 2011 sponsors. We'll have challenges, inspiration and even a blog hop!

So let's get this party started. It's time to kick off with our first challenge!

It was a fabulous event last fall, and we want you to email us a photo of yourself at the event, or go crazy and send us a link to a layout you have created with a Crop for Kids theme. We will randomly select a winner at the end of the month to win a prize! Deadline to enter is February 21, 2011.

Some important things to know about classes:

Class registraton for REGISTERED CROPPERS and CLASS PASS HOLDERS begins Sunday, June 27. Registration for classes will open to the general public later this summer.

If you plan on taking more than one class, and you're not registered for the crop portion of the weekend, we recommend buying a Class Pass. Many popular classes will sell out quickly, and a Class Pass means you can register this weekend, instead of waiting for general registration.

Take some time before you register to plan your weekend schedule. Classes can be viewed by date & time, or by type of class.

All classes are 100% donated -- time, talent & materials -- by retailers and manufacturers. That means 100% of class registration proceeds will go to charity. Classes are non-refundable.

Class instructors come in all shapes and sizes. There are local store owners & teachers, design team members from manufacturers and online retailers, magazine contributors, and creators/designers of major scrapbooking brands.

BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids is more than a charity fundraiser. We aim to provide an exciting community event and educational experience.

The first is "Christian Cards" featuring Karen's fabulous style! Here's a brief description:

"If your faith plays a central part in your life, sometimes a regular card just won't do. In this class, you'll make five Christian-themed cards for those special moments when God's word needs to be shared. Please bring a class tool kit including trimmer, scissors, adhesives, pop dots and a brown ink pad."

It's running Thursday, April 8 from 12 - 2 and the cost is $25

The second is "All Occasion Cards with Whipper Snapper & Copic" featuring three fun cards designed by the amazing Renee. Here’s a brief description:

"Renee is SO excited that we are now carrying Whipper Snapper Designs rubber stamps! Join her in this fast paced class where you'll create three great cards using these fun stamps and Copic markers. You'll learn how to blend and shade with the Copics, and get that "professional" look when colouring your images. You'll leave class with enough stamped images and extra paper to create more cards at home! One Copic marker is included in the price of this class. Please bring your own Copic markers (if you have any), as this will help keep the class moving. You will also need a variety of adhesives including Glue Dots, pop dots, and double-sided tape or tabs, and a pair of sharp scissors."

This class is running on Saturday, April 10 from 2 - 4 PM and the cost is $24.

Class registration for registered crop seat and class pass holders started on Monday night and it has been steadily continuing throughout the week.

We already have 3 SOLD OUT classes, which is absolutely fantastic!!!!

You all probably know this, but 100% of the proceeds from the sale of classes goes directly to BC Children's Hospital Foundation. The only way that we can make this happen is because of our amazing class sponsors. Without their generous donations to the event that simply wouldn't be the case. A list of the class sponsors can be found HERE on the website. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, we really appreciate all that you're doing for the event and the charity!!

Don't forget that class registration for the general public will begin at 7:00 PM on July 27th.

Just purchase a scrapbooking item (minimum $5 value) which will be left at the store to be donated to the BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids "Shop 'Til You Crop Prize Basket".

We'll compile all of the items donated at the sponsor stores into the "Shop 'Til You Crop Prize Basket" and the basket will be raffled off at the event in October. We will be selling raffle tickets for the basket at the event in October, the entire proceeds of which will be donated to the BC Children's Hospital Foundation.

If we have enough items we may even raffle off more than one "Shop 'Til You Crop Prize Basket".

For every $5 in product purchased at participating stores and donated to the basket, the donor will have their name put in a draw for a free crop seat to the 2010 BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids (approx value $109).

Entering the contest multiple times and shopping at multiple stores is encouraged (ie. if you donate $10 in product you would get two entries into the draw).

It's that easy!!

Each of the participating stores has a form where your name, email and phone number, as well as the product donated and dollar value will be recorded. You will be asked to initial the form confirming your donation. Please note that if you are shopping at one of the online stores please ensure you send them a message after you've placed your order advising which product in your order is to be donated to the Shop 'Til You Drop Basket so that it isn't shipped to you rather than left for us to pick-up.

Miracle Weekend Telethon Starts Today!!

The Miracle Weekend Telethon benefiting the BC Children's Hospital Foundation starts today at 6:55 PM and will run straight through until 6:00 PM on Sunday night.

BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids is hosting a 12 hour crop in support of BC Children's Hospital Foundation. Proceeds from the one day crop will be combined with the funds raised at the BC Crop for Kids weekend in October.

DATE: August 29, 2009

LOCATION: St. George's Anglican Church, 23500 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge

TIME: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM

PRICE PER PERSON: $39.00, plus a potluck dish or treat for the snack table.

We were asked to present a cheque for the funds raised at the 2008 event on TV during the 22nd annual BC Children's Hospital Foundation Miracle Weekend Telethon. We'll be presenting the cheque on TV on Sunday, June 7 between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. We're so excited about this!!

Unfortunately Sandra has a work committment that day, so I will be going as the representative of BC Crop for Kids. We've asked Hayley and Izzy to help us out as well because I'm not sure I could do it by myself. Thanks ladies!!!

INSPIRED SCRAPPER CHALLENGE

So this evening I was testing the store in preparation for tomorrow's pre-registration and do you know what happened? Someone tried to register!! LOL, I canceled the order and thankfully she understood. She thought it was too good to be true!! It was!!!

Here I thought, let's test out the store after 10:00 PM, it should be safe and little did I know that people are actually stalking the site 12 hours before registration. :)

So, we're looking forward to pre-registration tomorrow. I have a feeling one eager beaver (who shall remain nameless) will be the first to register tomorrow morning!! You know who you are!!

You know how we like to name all our promotions after TV Shows, well, with National Scrapbooking Day coming up on May 2, what better way to start the festivities than to offer a really cool contest with a fantastic prize!

The contest will run for 4 weeks starting on May 2 and will have an entrance fee of $20. This fee includes the 4 goodie bags that you will receive over the course of the promotion and a chance to win 1 of 3 fantabulous prizes. More details to follow, but the Grand prize is a Class Pass at the BC Crop for Kids (a $75 value) in October, and will include the following:

We thank everyone one the mailing list who took the time the other day to answer our quick survey and provide feedback.

Saturday Night Supper

Based on your responses, we will NOT be offering an optional buffet dinner at the hotel. It was almost unanimous that the estimated $40-$45 for dinner is expensive. We happen to agree! (this isn't an inflated price. It's simply what catered hotel meals cost. The Ramada has been extremely generous in the facility rental, and there is simply no room for negotiation on meal prices.) There are restaurant options for every budget within a 5 minute drive of the Ramada.

Photography Classes

Thank you for your feedback on the proposed digital photography classes. We'll provide a summary of your requests to Rachel Ludwig to help her with planning her classes. (Rachel is new to BC Crop for Kids. Last year was a different instructor.)

Meals & Beverages - what's changed, what's included

Last year your registration included 2 breakfasts. We received overwhelming feedback that a) breakfast was too early and conflicted with class times, and b) other meals besides breakfast would have been nice, and c) coffee & tea should be available for longer periods.

So for 2009 you're still getting 2 meals - 1 breakfast on Sunday, and 1 lunch on Saturday. Classes and meals have been scheduled so they don't overlap and nobody misses out! And we'll extend slightly the serving time for coffee & tea. Try not to think of it as losing a breakfast, but rather *gaining* a hearty lunch!

As a reminder snacks are permitted in the crop room during the event. However, meals from home or from restaurants are not permitted. If you bring in meals from another location please eat them in your room.

Which brings us to the registration fee...

2009 Registration Fee - $109

The slight increase over last year's price is due to higher food costs. There's a slightly higher cost for lunch & more beverages.

Crop Room Seating

We've received some comments that the crop room was too squishy and that more crop space would be better.

We will be going with 180 seats again this year. Anticipation of the event is high, and we're confident that it will be a sell-out regardless of the elbow room. To cut the number of crop seats now would mean so many more disappointed people and we can't bear to do that! This is, after all, a fundraiser, and our goal is to raise as much as we can for BC Children's Hospital Foundation, and to do that we need to sell seats and fill classes!

If you're looking for an all-inclusive retreat weekend with more elbow room, might we suggest Scrapping Away Retreats or The Ultimate Scrapbook Retreat.

Moira. Sorry to cause you so much stress.

We feel your pain, we really do! And we know you're not the only one with fingers and other appendages crossed, hoping for a seat this year. Stay positive and stay perched in front of your computer at 7pm on May 7 when general registration opens. (refresh refresh refresh!). We do know that there WILL be seats available.

If you miss out the first time around, don't despair. There will be a "add me to the waiting list" option in the online store. If we haven't received someone's payment within 10 days, we'll be re-releasing seats to the waiting list.

And we encourage everyone who doesn't have a crop seat to purchase the Class Pass and sign up for classes when advance class registration begins. (After all, if you plan on taking lots of classes, how much crop time are you going to have anyway? And if you're hubby is already booked to take care of the kids, you better take advantage of it!!) If you buy the Class Pass and a crop spot opens up for you, we will apply the Class Pass fee towards your registration fee.

Why did we offer registration this way? Partly because we wanted to make sure that everyone knew without a doubt that the BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids would be returning in 2009. But the main reason was to show our gratitude to everyone who supported the event in its inaugural year. Next year we're changing things up a little (and that's the ONLY hint we're giving you about next year!)

We did this at last year's event and it was such a huge success that we're doing to do it again. After the event in October we will be sending out many thank you cards to our fabulous sponsors and we need YOUR help in making some fabulous cards for that purpose!!!

For each thank you card you make and donate to the event you'll receive a draw ticket for a special prize donated by The Memory Workshop. You'll receive your draw tickets at the event when you drop off your cards. Cards can be dropped off at the event registration/info table anytime after 7:30 PM on October 23rd.

If you aren't attending the event and would still like to enter the contest by donating handmade thank you cards please contact us at bccropforkids@yahoo.ca and we'll provide you with our mailing address.

The winner will be announced at the event on Saturday evening!!

All cards that aren't used as thank yous after the event will be donated to BC Children's Hospital for use by the families and patients that use the facility.

Cropping for kids worldwide.

Scrapbookers all over the world are awesome.

Generous and dedicated scrapbookers everywhere are "cropping for kids" at events worldwide. The name "Crop for Kids" is pretty catchy and thanks to Google we've come up with a short list.

In Melbourne, Australia: Crop For Kids is a scrapbooking event officially approved by Good Friday Appeal for the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. We successfully raised over $7,500 in 2007 and $12,000 in 2008. We hope to achieve more in 2009. Saturday, 4th April 2009

In Iowa: With spring and summer activities fast approaching and bringing days at the pool, baseball practices and trips, an all-day workshop to help busy individuals get caught up with their scrapbooking, also referred to as 'cropping,' will be held at the first ever "Crop for Kids Day."The event will be held Saturday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. ... (that's this weekend! Best of luck to them!!)

And last November in New York: The event was a tremendous success raising an unprecedented $10,800 for HCC! We would like to thank Eagle Vale, all participants and vendors for their support! A special thank you to WARM 101.3 and Terese Taylor for creating, executing and hosting this successful event!

Let's not forget our neighbours in Alberta: Scrap4it.ca is hosting the Crop 4 Kids in Calgary this Saturday, March 28.

At the 2008 BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids, Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and Monday Night Class co-sponsored the Designing Diva Contest. The winner of the contest was Leanne Payne and she had her fabulous layout published in the spring issue, together with a photo from the event. From left to right, the people in the picture are: Cari Locken, Mary Pauls, Leanne Payne, Sandra Brindley and Christy Riopel.

We were recently contacted by some gals from Calgary who are organizing a fundraiser crop benefiting the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation. They've created a company that specializes in organizing fundraiser crops in their area called Scrap 4 It. Their Crop 4 Kids event is taking place in just a few weeks, on March 28, 2009. We wish them much success with their crop!!! We know how much time and energy goes into organizing an event like this and we applaud Mary and Jennifer (the organizers) for doing such an awesome thing.

In a recent email from our representative at BC Children's Hospital Foundation, we heard that one of their staffers spotted a scrapbooker at the airport sporting BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids "paraphernalia" and made a point of thanking them for personally for their support.

This is such a thrill! To be recognized on this level shows us that we -- the local scrapbooking comunity -- are making an impact, and our hard work through BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids is not going unnoticed. Thank you so much for your ongoing participation!

Thanks to all of you who have inquired about this year's BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids. The January email newsletter is coming soon, so NOW is the time to get on the mailing list if you're not already. (see that box in the column to the right? Just enter your email address there)

We know how anxious you are to register! When we checked with the hotel last week, over 50% of the block of hotel rooms reserved for us were already booked!! This is a fantastic testament to just how excited everyone is. Please be patent...registration dates and instructions will be announced shortly.

And if you were a registered crop attendee last year, you can relax...you'll be able to take advantage of a 24-hour advance registration opportunity that essentially guarantees you a crop seat.

It's New Years Day and it's 2009!!! Wow, where did 2008 go?

In case you were wondering there are 295 days until Crop for Kids 2009. That length of time can also be broken down into the following figures:

You know what this means don't you?? We have officially started planning the 2009 event. Those figures above may seem like a lot of time but really it isn't.

MEMORIES FROM THE 2008 EVENT!!

Over a month has past since the 2008 event and life has gotten back to some normalcy in our homes. We aren't "officially" planning the 2009 event until January, according to our families, but we did spend today out at the BC Creative Expo chatting with some of the sponsors and teachers from this year's event and also chatting with some potential new sponsors for 2009.

We would also like to thank those of you who have taken the time to email us about the 2008 event. Your kind words, your encouragement and your comments and suggestions on different aspects of the event is so appreciated. We are taking all comments and suggestions into consideration and look forward to an even better event in 2009.

Thank you to all the people who answered our call for photos from the 2008 event. We have been able to put together a fabulous slideshow of memories (below). You may want to sit back, grab a coffee and spend some time checking out all these fabulous photos, they are amazing memories indeed.

Thanks to your attendance and participation this past weekend, the 2008 BC Scrapbooking Crop For Kids has raised, to date:

for BC Children's Hospital Foundation.

We are both exhausted and elated by the weekend activities and are lacking the words at the moment to express how grateful we are for the help from our friends and volunteers, our sponsors and class instructors, and from you -- the attendees.

We are thrilled, honoured, touched, moved and inspired by all your positive feedback and kind words. Thank you especially to those who took the time to share your stories about Children's Hospital and other organizations that have helped your sick and special children. It makes the event all the more meaningful when we know that what we are doing is making a difference to you.

As exhausted as we are, (and there's still more work to be done!), we thought it was important to let you know right away that we are ready to do it all again in 2009!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ATTENDEES

With the clock ticking down, we'll be taking the online store and registration offline on Wednesday. This will allow us to focus on the last of the details. With just 2 more "preparation" days left before the BC Crop for Kids, we may not be able to answer your emails in a timely manner. And we won't be available by email after 9pm on Thursday, Sept 25.

Please review your newsletters for ALL the details regarding times, dates, locations, directions, procedures surrounding the big event this weekend. We know there has been alot to take in all at once! If you don't think you've received the emails, PLEASE ask a friend to forward them to you!

You can help us make the registration process as smooth as possible for everyone. There are 180 croppers (plus volunteers, teachers, sponsors, and class-only guests) and we thank you in advance for your patience while we welcome everyone.

Here's a quick recap of the vital info:

Registration opens at 6:00PM on Friday Sept 26. No early birds please.

If you are registered for a 6:00PM class on Friday, you may register at 5:30PM. This is for class attendees only. We ask that other members of your party please wait to register at 6:00PM so we can process the early class attendees first. Thanks for understanding.

Guaranteed check in time at the hotel is 3:00PM. Please use the HOTEL ENTRANCE for checking into your rooms, and the CONFERENCE CENTRE ENTRANCE for the crop. (the 2 are connected, and once you are registered and have your name badge you may use the alternate entrance to go back and forth between them. This entrance will be monitored for the security of our guests.)

Outside food not permitted. Sorry, hotel policy. If you are bringing in meals from surrounding restaurants or from home, these must be eaten in your hotel room. Please be discreet with prepackaged snacks and no fast food drink cups please. (what you fill your water bottle or travel mug with are up to you!)

WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT?

We're coming up on FIVE DAYS before the big weekend!! Are you excited???

I know I'm excited!!! Sandra is away working at a retreat this weekend and I'm sitting here working on class lists, itineraries and other stuff for the event weekend. As I'm working away I'm in awe of how quickly time flew by and am getting excited about the weekend.

I want to hear what you're excited about and I'm giving a RAK away to someone just for telling me how excited you are!!!!

I haven't been doing much scrapbooking lately (understandably) and my stash is starting to get a little overgrown so one lucky person will win a grab bag of goodies from my overgrown stash of supplies!!!

SCAVENGER HUNT!

Did you read about it in our last two newsletters? We are so excited to announce this exciting scavenger hunt sponsored by some of our amazing store sponsors.

The scrapbook stores that are participating in the scavenger hunt are:

Each event attendee will be emailed a personalized scavenger hunt stamp/punch card with a list of the participating Lower Mainland scrapbook stores. Please do not contact the stores to obtain a card, you will receive your card by email from BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids in September.

Between Friday, September 19th and Friday, September 26th you can attend the participating stores with your scavenger hunt stamp/punch card. You will then either participate in a small make-n-take OR receive a small goodie bag item. It is left to each store's discretion what will be offered to the attendees. You must also have your personalized stamp/punch card with you in order to participate. The store will then sign and stamp/punch your card and return it to you.

All participants who hand in their cards to the event registration/info table who have attended a minimum of 5 out of the 7 participating stores will be entered in a draw for a special scavenger hunt prize. A prize will also be provided to the first person who submits a card with stamps from ALL participating stores.

Don't forget when you're visiting these stores for the scavenger hunt that it would be a great opportunity for you to do a little shopping and stock up on supplies before the event weekend!!

Updated Class Photos and Fun Stuff!!!

Kate from Photo Express has provided us with some updated class photos for her "Faith-Full" Scrapbooking class. The class runs from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM on Saturday, September 27. To register or see the updated class photos please check out our website here.

Kate also provided us with some additional info about the class itself:

"Each class kit will include the following:

All the papers needed to create these 3 layouts (colours may vary amongst kits; all patterned papers are from the My Mind’s Eye Everyday Tango line) – all the pieces will be cut to size – you just need to assemble and enhance the layouts with inking, stamping & journaling.
12x12 Share & Tell photo insert pages for storing extra photos alongside each of your 3 layouts.
a colour handout with step-by-step instructions for assembling your layouts.
an inspirational handout filled with various bible references and quotes perfect for bringing God into your scrapbook pages

No Time
Simply label your photos and slip them into the 4x6 pocket protectors that come with your album. In our busy and hectic lives, sometimes just printing our photos and getting them into an album is a huge success. And let’s face it, not all our photos need to be scrapbooked (nor is it actually realistic or feasible to scrapbook every photo you take). The photo sleeves are perfect for those photos that need to be preserved, but don’t necessarily pull at your heart or beg to be scrapbooked.

Some Time
Create simple 4x6 titles and journaling cards to help tell your story. Pebbles Inc. sells 4x6 creative pads and journaling cards as a quick and easy way to add memories to your photos, or create your own using cardstock and patterned paper scraps from previous projects. This memory keeping technique allows you to focus your creative energies on only the very best photos, instead of trying to figure out how to fit all 16 birthday shots onto a double page spread!

CLASS KITS ARE STARTING TO ARRIVE!!

Things are starting to get very exciting and now that class kits are now starting to arrive the fact that the event is not all that far away is VERY REAL!!!

One of the first sets of kits to arrive was the Halloween Chipboard Mini Album designed and sponsored by Sharka Leigh of PaperCapers. These kits just blew me away!! Sharka did such a fabulous job of cutting and organizing everything!! This album has great dimension and texture in it and it is absolutely adorable. Sharka has outdone herself with this project and it's one you will not want to miss out on.

The class runs from from 9:45 PM to 11:15 PM on Friday, September 26th. You can see more photos of the project and register for the class here on the BC Scrapbooking Crop for Kids website.

Remember the majority of the classes offered can be taken away as a kit to work on later so if you don't have time to take the class you can always sign-up and take the kit home with you!!!

IT'S TIME TO GET PACKING

Get packing. Now. Don't wait till the last minute! There's still plenty of time, and we can help!

Why the urge to pack early and pack well? We must stress that space is at a premium at this event. Everyone will have 3 feet of table space. We've asked for as much room as possible between the table rows for people to come and go freely. This doesn't leave a whole lot of room for everyone to bring everything they own just in case.

To help ease the load, here are a few tips for planning and packing efficiently:

Plan ahead. Decide before you go which projects/pages you will work on. Be realistic about what you can accomplish in the time you have.

Make up page kits for the layouts you plan to work on. There are paper folders available just for this purpose. (ziploc bags are an economical - but less durable - alternative)

Bring only the tools you need. You'll need your essential tools of course, and the tools & adhesives specified in your classes, and then the ones you'll need for the projects you have planned. Keep all your tools together in one place for easy transition from crop room to classrooms.

Coordinate tools with a friend. Plan to bring one Crop-A-Dile, and one QuicKutz (the bulky, heavy stuff) to share between you.
